 Kenyon F/R Shield Layer 2 is a proprietary blend of modacrylic, rayon, and spandex. The F/R qualities of the fabric cannot be washed out of the fabric. Layer 2 is an excellent layering piece for cooler temperatures and the addition of spandex will give the wearer more stretch for all activities.
All Kenyon F/R Shield Layer 2 garments are flat seamed for comfort and feature a relaxed fit.
Layer 2 passes all military specifications for No Melt/No Drip-ASTM-D-6413 and is also protected with Silver + technology. Silver + has been shown to be 99.99 effective in the reduction of Staphylococcus Aureus and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa,
Kenyon FR Shield has a very high TPP (Thermal Protective Performance) while maintaining the highest ratings for THL for moving extra heat away from the body. The results are that the Kenyon FR Shield garments are extremely comfortable, even when used in a multi-layered clothing system.
Level 2 is extremely soft and comfortable in all temperature ranges and makes for an excellent layering or stand alone garment.
